Getting started
HMD Connect makes it easy to stay connected when you’re on the go. A simpler life begins in a few easy steps. If you don't have a Starter Kit yet, you can order one now.
Select your device
Download the HMD Connect app from the Google Play store.
Power off your device, insert your HMD Connect SIM card and power on your device again.
Wait until the device finds the network. You should see the roaming sign when the network is found.
Open the HMD Connect app and follow the simple instructions.
- Sign up with your Google, Facebook, Apple or email account.
- Update your country of residence.
- From the back of your SIM card, scan the QR code, enter the PIN code and name your SIM card.
- Add payment method.
- Select your first data package and locate your free starter package.
Turn on roaming when you are ready to consume data.
Tip 1. Make sure mobile data roaming is enabled. You can check this in your device settings: Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network.
Tip 2. It sometimes helps to enable 'airplane' mode for about 5 seconds and then to disable it to ensure your phone starts roaming properly.
Tip 3. If you have a multi-SIM phone, only one SIM can roam at a time. Therefore, you may need to disable roaming from any other SIM slots before you can enable the SIM slot for your HMD Connect SIM card.
