No two trips are the same — we understand that. That’s why you can always adjust your HMD Connect data plan to your needs and schedule. From a short trip to a month-long business travel, choose the coverage that suits you best.
Upgrade
With our upgrade data plan you will receive up to 1 GB of additional data usage for just $ 6.95 depending on your destination Zone. This is perfect for short trips under 14 days when you just need to top up as you go. Upgrades do not extend 14-day validity period.
Auto-refill
For a longer trip that lasts more than 2 weeks you want to take a look at auto-refill. Not only does it expand your connection period to 30 days, it also gives you up to 2 GB of data usage. This package comes in at $ 23.95 and you can cancel it at anytime before the next refill.

Aligned with the belief that mobile technology can enhance our everyday lives, we are expanding the data roaming service for our HMD Connect and HMD Connect Pro services to include devices supporting eSIM. If you're already familiar with NFC microchip technology, eSIM works in a similar way, where the technology is built inside the phone and can be activated, rewritten and disabled quickly and efficiently.
eSIM is also supported by the GSMA, an organization representing mobile operators’ interests worldwide and has defined the worldwide standards for eSIM technology.
eSIM is currently exclusively available from a select number of carriers, including HMD Connect and HMD Connect Pro. What are the differences between StarterKit with SIM and eSIM?
While StarterKit with SIM and eSIM both offer the same data plans and duration, with the Starter Kit you will also receive a physical SIM card for the connection. StartKit with eSIM technology is currently available on select device models, and you get eSIM for installation and use straight in your email after the purchasae.
Not all phones support eSIM technology
Setting up HMD Connect or HMD Connect Pro without a physical SIM card is currently possible on select devices that support eSIM profiles. You can check the list of compatible devices here. If your device does not support eSIM, simply order a Starter Kit or SIM card from the homepage and continue setup when it arrives.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between Starter Kit and Basic data plan?
Starter Kit is for new users as it includes the a physical SIM card needed to start your connectivity. For users who already have an HMD Connect SIM card you can reconnect and continue roaming globally by reactivating with the Basic data plan package. Both packages have up to 1 GB data to use within 14 days after the data plan is first activated. Additional data for both plans can be purchased with the upgrade (pay as you go) option when needed.
How does the Auto-refill data plan work?
Auto-refill data plan is the easiest way to make sure you always stay connected, giving you one data package to use within 30 days. If you use all of your data or reach the end of the 30-day period, your card is charged automatically to add up to 2 GB data with 30 more days of roaming. You can cancel Auto-refill data plan at any time.
How can I cancel my Auto-refill package?
You can cancel your Auto-refill package anytime from the HMD Connect mobile app or from hmdconnect.com. If you’ve already started to use the data from your Auto-refill package and then cancel Auto-refill, you will still have the remaining data to use until the end of those 30 days. Then, your card will not be charged when the data or the 30-day period runs out.
If you have not started to use the data from your Auto-refill package when you cancel, the data will be revoked and you'll be issued a full refund.
In either case, your credit card won't be charged again until you purchase a different package or a new Auto-refill package.
